Gypsy is a friendly, affectionate FIV positive boy that we believe is approximately 8-10 years old. He was a stray being fed by ladies from a local residential care home, but no one was able to adopt him. He turned up under the bed of a nearby home and was rescued.
His FIV positive status means that his immune system does not work as it should, and he is more vulnerable to other illnesses. It also means that Gypsy must be an indoor only cat, ideally in a home with lots of space and no other cats. Because of his FIV status, Gypsy is eligible for our permanent foster programme. This means that we will cover all medical costs relating to his illness for the rest of his life. http://www.cpl-wellington.org.nz/support-our-foster-cat-programme
