Percy has come to us because her family were moving back to Australia and didn't want to take her. She had been kept as an outside only cat, living in a dog kennel in the garden. Percy needed some time to settle at the shelter, all the cats and noise made her nervous as she had been used to having lots of space. Although she has likely gotten quite used to her outdoor lifestyle it would be nice for her to have a home where she is allowed to be inside, and to be able to come and go as she pleases.
Percy has lots of quirky character traits that we have gotten to know in the time she's been with us, and we all find them very endearing. Percy loves playtime, but in her own special way, and she goes completely bonkers for catnip which is always good for a laugh. She can be quite 'hand-shy' at first but if you approach her in the right way (or with Temptations) she loves to be patted, she even enjoys a warm lap when she's in the mood. Recently she has taken to being our resident 'kitchen cat', she likes hanging out and inspecting all food entering and exiting the kitchen. We would be very happy to do an introduction to Percy and her quirks if you are interested.
Percy will be happiest in a quiet, adult home where she is the only pet and has indoor/outdoor access.
