Rosebud was surrendered to us as she was abandoned by her registered owner, and left to roam a suburb in Porirua. A kind Samaritan fed her for over a year until she contacted us, concerned about her health and slow deterioration over the past few months. The person couldn't afford vet treatment so Rosebud has come into our care so we can get her feeling her best, ready for her new forever home.
Rosebud is a vocal and charming wee lady. She enjoys human company and especially loves to sit on your lap or for you to scratch around her head and neck. Rosebud had a large and rude vocabulary when it comes to other cats, so she should be homed as an only pet. She is ok with older, cat-savvy children.
We have found that Rosie is FIV+, so an indoor home is essential, but she would love a catio as she did spend a long time on the streets so being in a home will be a pleasant but different environment for her at first.
