Pud -- A dogs best friend!

Pud was surrendered to us as his family weren't able to cope with his behavioural issues. Pud had a rough kitten-hood, children badly manhandled him at a young age which may have something to do with some naughty habits he has when he's feeling anxious/unhappy.
Pud is a social guy with the people he trusts. He enjoys people-watching and playing chase with his dog friend. Pud is very vocal regarding food and when he wants to be patted under his chin, but like most cats, when he's had enough of patting he can be spice level: medium. He has a past of on and off toileting issues, and we are unsure what triggers this (likely stress-related) behaviour.
He would like a home with a safe outdoors where he can catch AND EAT rats, and far from native bird-populated areas as he is a superb hunter. Pud has lived with a dog before but does not like cats and is especially terrified of children.
